About Belasco Electric
The Belasco Story
Back in 1950, John and Margaret Belasco started their residential electrical business right in their own garage, based on John’s extensive training as an electrician in the US Navy. As their business grew, their son, John, became enamored with electricity and joined the business as an apprentice in 1977, where he became an outstanding Master Electrician. He bought the business from his parents in 1996 and has been running Belasco Electric ever since.
John’s attention to detail makes him sound like a diagnosing physician when you talk to him about your electrical problems, so many people refer him new clients when they can: everyone hears John’s commitment and expertise when they speak to him, so everyone trusts Belasco Electric and his staff of professionals to diagnose and cure their power problems fast.
Belasco Electric is an IBEW shop. John is a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, as well as the National Electrical Contractors Association, which means the commercial or residential electrical work at Belasco is in strict conformity with industry standards.
Belasco Electric is an equal opportunity employer. As a Minority owned Business, John is a member of the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council in an effort to welcome and encourage diversity in the workplace. Belasco Electric also participates as members of the West Michigan Labor Management Cooperative Committee, the Muskegon Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the EPA Lead Abatement Program, and is listed on the prestigious Angi.
